Regenerate the TagTreeNodeDTO type with subtreeDocumentCount and switch
hasAnyDocuments to read it directly — the backend rollup already includes all
descendants, so the recursive children walk is no longer needed. Reader
surfaces now hide a topic only when its whole subtree is empty.

PersonEditForm.svelte gains a G 0…G 6 select inside the {#if isPerson}
block. min-h-[44px] meets WCAG 2.5.8 / dual-audience touch target.
generationStr is initialised via $state(untrack(...)) so prop reruns
never reset an in-progress edit (same pattern as selectedType).
Both /persons/[id]/edit and /persons/new form actions read the field
without the conditional-spread idiom — generation always lands in the
PUT/POST body. G 0 is a valid family-tree-root value the spread would
silently drop, and an empty option sends null so a human can clear the
field back to "unset".
i18n adds person_label_generation / person_option_generation_unset /
person_hint_generation in de/en/es. Drops the dead stammbaum_generations
key (zero callsites after the filter-chip removal in the spec).
Tests: dropdown render + hydration in the component, generation=0/3/null
arriving in the API body in the server actions.

Manually mirrors the Spring Boot @Schema additions on PersonNodeDTO,
Person, and PersonUpdateDTO into the generated api.ts so the form +
gutter components compile against a finished type surface. The next
backend dev-profile run + `npm run generate:api` will regenerate the
same shape from the live OpenAPI spec.
PersonFormData gains `generation?: number | null` so PersonEditForm's
$state initialiser typechecks.

Surface the backend's global undatedCount on the "Nur undatierte" toggle as
a count chip — the total undated documents matching the current filter
across all pages, not the page slice. The loader forwards undatedCount
straight through (defaulting to 0); the chip hides at 0 and stays visible
regardless of the toggle state so it advertises the triage backlog size.
generate:api was hand-edited (undatedCount added to DocumentSearchResult) —
CI must re-run npm run generate:api to confirm parity.

Parses ?undated strictly (=== 'true', mirroring the tagOp clamp), forwards
it as undated || undefined so the absent case drops out of the query, and
returns the flag in page data for the control to reflect. Adds the
docs_filter_undated_only toggle label and the explanatory
docs_range_excludes_undated empty-state copy in de/en/es. The badge reuses
the existing date_precision_unknown ("Datum unbekannt") key from #677.
OpenAPI types hand-edited for the new undated query param on /search and
/ids — CI must run `npm run generate:api` to confirm parity with the spec.

not be run in this worktree (no node_modules; browser tests are CI-only).

Replace manual edits to api.ts with a proper `npm run generate:api` run —
the generated output is identical for DocumentListItem (createdAt/updatedAt
were already correct), so this just removes the drift risk flagged in review.
Fix ReaderRecentDocs.svelte.spec.ts to use DocumentListItem instead of
Document for all test fixtures, matching the component's actual prop type.

The server mapped DocumentSearchResult items as { document: Document }[]
but the API returns flat DocumentListItem[] — so i.document was always
undefined, crashing the reader homepage with a 500.
Fix the type + mapping in +page.server.ts, add createdAt/updatedAt to
DocumentListItem (needed by ReaderRecentDocs for relative-time display),
and update the component to accept DocumentListItem instead of Document.

The +page.ts client-side load now forwards the active /documents URL
filters (q, senderId, receiverId, tag, tagQ, status, tagOp) to
/api/documents/density so the bars recompute when the user narrows the
search. Date bounds (from/to) are deliberately omitted — the chart is
the surface for picking those.
- New `DensityFilters` type and `buildDensityUrl(filters)` helper.
- `fetchDensity` accepts a filter snapshot (defaulting to {} for
back-compat in tests).
- 6 new unit tests cover URL building, multi-tag repetition, AND/OR
forwarding, the explicit-no-from/to invariant, and filter-aware fetch.
- Generated API types refreshed against the new backend signature.

The /geschichten list page now renders one removable chip per active
person filter and lets users add more via the existing typeahead. The
URL uses repeated ?personId= params (matching the documents tag
filter), which the regenerated API client passes straight through to
the backend's new array-bound endpoint. New translation keys cover the
chip remove aria-label, the AND hint shown while picking, and the
multi-person empty state.
openapi-typescript regenerated against the dev backend now exposes:
- components.schemas.PersonMention with personId + displayName
- TranscriptionBlock and CreateTranscriptionBlockDTO/UpdateTranscriptionBlockDTO
carry the optional mentionedPersons array
- (No new path entries: hover-card and typeahead reuse existing endpoints
GET /api/persons, GET /api/persons/{id}, GET /api/persons/{id}/relationships.)
Sealed inside PR-A so the frontend PR-B can import the new types from main
without rebasing across an unrelated regen. Per Tobias' chain-tightening
note in the consolidation summary.

openapi-typescript pulled the Stammbaum schemas: Person now has
familyMember (required), plus PersonNodeDTO, NetworkDTO, RelationshipDTO,
InferredRelationshipDTO, InferredRelationshipWithPersonDTO,
CreateRelationshipRequest, FamilyMemberPatchDTO. Routes:
/api/network, /api/persons/{id}/relationships,
/api/persons/{id}/inferred-relationships,
/api/persons/{aId}/relationship-to/{bId}, and the family-member PATCH.
Test fixtures in PersonMultiSelect, briefwechsel page, and DocumentList
specs gained familyMember: false where they otherwise typed Person
end-to-end. Pre-existing "missing lastName/personType" fixture errors
in DocumentRow.spec are out of scope.

Frontend side of the /documents pagination work. The page.server.ts load
reads ?page= from the URL, forwards page+size=50 to the backend, and
exposes the new totalElements/pageNumber/pageSize/totalPages fields on
`data`. +page.svelte renders a <Pagination> component below the result
list; buildPageHref preserves every filter param and only updates page.
The existing triggerSearch debounce flow intentionally drops `page`
when any filter changes, so filter edits reset to page 0 automatically.
<Pagination> uses plain <a href> links (not goto) so SvelteKit's default
scroll restoration scrolls new pages to the top — the expected senior-UX
behaviour. Decorative chevrons wrapped in aria-hidden spans, 44px touch
targets, focus-visible ring, stacks vertically under 640px. The control
hides itself when totalPages ≤ 1.
Test coverage: 9 cases on Pagination (label, aria-current, prev/next
enable/disable, makeHref invocation, decorative chevron, touch target),
plus a filter-reset assertion on +page.svelte (page 5 → edit q →
goto URL must drop page=). Adds i18n keys in de/en/es. Manual edit to
api.ts pending a post-merge npm run generate:api against a rebuilt
